Early intervention

HHarretagoiztiarra00

Early intervention is the set of interventions aimed at children from birth to six years of age, including the family and the child’s environment. The aim is to respond to the needs and alterations of these children in their development and to assess the risk of suffering them in the future, whether or not they are permanent.

The Basque Government promoted an early intervention plan in all schools in the Basque Country. At Mundaiz School, all children from 2 to 6 years of age are subjected to the Protocol for monitoring child development, i.e. the early attention scales. Through observation, different areas of development are assessed: physical and motor, personal and social, perceptual-cognitive and problem-solving, language and communication, early development.
